These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Crossfade Raga website and related browser-based practice tools (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you’re between 13 and the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with a parent or guardian’s permission.
2. Your account
Some features require an account. You’re responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to break any applicable law or to infringe someone else’s rights.
- Attempt to probe, scan, or test the security of the Service, or interfere with its operation.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law.
- Post feedback or other content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or deliberately misleading.
- Use the Service to send spam or harass other users.
4. Content you submit
When you submit feedback (ratings and comments), you keep ownership of that content but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and use it to operate and improve the Service. You represent that your feedback is your own and doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights.
5. Our content
The Service — including its code, copy, graphics, and curated content (such as raag catalogs and tanpura samples) — is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial practice and learning. Any other use requires our written permission.
Some audio samples and libraries are provided by third parties under their own licenses. Attribution is available on request.
6. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party providers (authentication, hosting, analytics, OAuth sign-in). Your use of those providers is also subject to their own terms. We’re not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any specific training goal. Practice at your own pace and risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Crossfade Raga is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms or create risk or legal exposure for us. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example, sections 4, 5, 7, 8, and this one) will survive termination.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, give you additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes go live means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Crossfade Raga operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless a different forum is required by applicable consumer law.
